Nag Tibba Trek

Description : Glorious weather, pretty walks through a forest of pine, and stunning views of the Himalayan ranges, the Nag Tibba trek is everything you can get on a short trek in the mountain. On a clear day you get to see majestic views from the Nag Tibba summit. Bandarpunch, the Gangotri cluster, Kedarnath to the north among others. Nag Tibba boasts an abundance of wild life and a thick corridor of Kharsu Oak and Rhododendron forests.

Best Month : Nag Tibba can be attempted during any time of the year. It is during winter you get to see great and stunning views.

Highlights : Pretty meadows, stunning views and lovely walk through the pine forests. There are several routes to the top and back that can be attempted.

View of Srikot village starting point of the trek from the north side to Nag Tibba. The trail initially passes through some thick forest. As you gain height you follow a stream through the forest.
A Gujjar settlement in a clearing is an option to either camp up or take a lunch break. The forest rest house camping spot is a huge meadow in striking distance of the top of Nag Tibba in the background. The top of Nag Tibba provides great views if you get clear weather.
View of Nag Tibba from the south side which too offers several routes up to the top. Tal which contains a small lake is a prominent point on the route coming through from the south side. As you descend from the south side to Thatyur you get wide and open views.
Finally Thatyur village comes into view the end point of the trek.
